Bookkeeping

We are currently seeking a self-motivated individual that is ready to work in a hands-on environment (part- or full-time) to assist The Business Center with accounting, bookkeeping and financial statement analysis.

The intern will:

  • Input information into QuickBooks account
  • Prepare budgets
  • Analyze our working capital and longer-term financial position

This internship would be excellent for a 4th-year undergraduate student interested in gaining accounting experience, particularly in the nonprofit field.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency and experience using QuickBooks
  • Attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities  
  • Formal training in accounting

Social Media

We are seeking a self-motivated individual that is ready to work in a hands-on environment (part- or full-time) to assist The Business Center build its social media presence.

This internship would be excellent for an undergraduate student interested in gaining practical social media experience with a dynamic nonprofit organization.

The intern will:

  • Develop social media strategies for Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • Build a following on all of these social media platforms.
  • Review analytical data to assess engagement and return on investment.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency and experience using Facebook and Twitter (YouTube, Facebook and Instagram video production experience a plus)
  • Excellent written communication skills

Marketing

We are currently seeking a self-motivated individual that is ready to work in a hands-on environment (part- or full-time) to assist The Business Center with its marketing research activities.

This internship would be ideal for a 4th-year undergraduate student looking to enter the field of marketing research, with a focus on nonprofit organizations.

The intern will:

  • Identify and analyze market opportunities to promote business center programs and develop new programs.
  • Conduct an analysis on our organization’s strengths, weaknesses, and areas of potential development.

Qualifications:

  • Experience and/or formal training in conducting marketing research or developing market research strategies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Event Planning/Fundraising

We are currently seeking a self-motivated individual that is ready to work in a hands-on environment (part- or full-time) to assist The Business Center with event planning and fundraising activities.

This internship would be ideal for an undergraduate student looking to gain grant writing and event planning experience, particularly in the area of nonprofit organizations.

The intern will:

  • Develop creative fundraising campaigns
  • Research and apply for corporate sponsorship and assist with grant writing
  • Plan events

Qualifications:

  • Experience in event planning and fundraising is a plus
  • Attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
